CONNECTING FOR HEALTHIER WORKPLACES
1 in 10 New Zealanders work in the retail supply chain sector. That's a lot of people who each play a part in getting your milk and weetbix to your table for breakfast.
These people pick fruit, work in factories and warehouses, drive forklifts, transport goods around the country in trucks, service refrigeration equipment, stack and replenish shelves, serve at the deli counter, set up POS merchandising, stand at the register to process your sale, or deliver it to your door.
Without them we wouldn’t have food on our supermarket shelves, milk or juice at the dairy, or burger buns at our local takeaway. These people are the lifeblood of New Zealand food and grocery retail.
We want to ensure each and every one of them gets home safely to their family at the end of their shift.
Our role in the industry is to lead workplace improvements, and to help put in place new processes and procedures to make all food and grocery retail workers safe.
We are currently working on a number of initiatives that will have big impacts on safety. If you have an idea or would like to discuss how these initiatives could be implemented in your workplace, contact us.
